CHAMBER ORCHESTRAL CONCERT
Saturday 2/8/2025 at 17:00 • Mikulov, Czech Republic • Galerie Efram Back in the Efram Gallery in Mikulov — one year later!
Just like last year, the greatest joy for me this time was again our performance of Bach. The first movement of Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, which I conducted directly from the cello, turned out so well that more than one “bravo” could be heard from the audience. The gallery was packed to the brim, and the exchange between musicians and listeners was wonderfully vibrant.
It must be said that performing the Brandenburg Concertos is no small feat — this is advanced artistry. Many professional ensembles have come to grief over them. But when it comes to the performances by the course participants, I can say only the very best. The attached video shows clearly how the audience was quite literally drawn into this magnificent piece.
