Virtuosic composition with numerous contrasts belongs to an imaginary Olympus of the cello repertoire, so its interpretation requires determination and power as well as a sense of intimacy. Škrdlík integrated completely both of these features and played his instrument with intense sonority which however did not reduce essential melodiousness of the piece.
(…) Ensemble developed every movement with unique expression corresponding with its spiritual content and even so, they achieve that every single part of composition created cohesive unit. (…) The group minded timbres and contrasts with moving care.
